The ASPIRE Program
The Craven County Schools ASPIRE Program is a program within the Exceptional Children’s Division and is designed to service students with behavioral and mental health needs. The ASPIRE Program is a shared Day Treatment model to provide services for students throughout the school day. The staff is composed of school personnel and mental health treatment staff, whose role is to provide quality individualized instruction along with therapeutic services. The program operates on the same calendar as the traditional Craven County Schools calendar. Mental health services are provided during the school breaks and transportation is provided as needed. Students in the program are still enrolled at their home schools, but attend at the ASPIRE building located on the campus of Grover C. Fields Middle Schools. Students carry a full instructional schedule while learning behavioral skills.
