Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is an annual competition held for elementary and middle schools in Craven County. Students form teams, read 20-27 books, and compete against their peers by answering questions that relate to specific key details in each text. Winners for each district advance to compete at the regional and state level.
H.J. MacDonald is proud of its Battle of the Books team! The 2016-17 and 2017-18 teams both won First Place amongst middle schools for the district! If you are interested in more information regarding Battle of the Books, contact Mr. Thomas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
