My name is Mrs. Amy Thompson, formally Ms. Bowman. I have been in the Craven County School System for nearly 20 years. I am a graduate of East Carolina University, where I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. I'm certified to teach K-6 Elementary Education, K-12 Reading. 

I was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1971 and moved to Havelock in 1981.  I have attended West Havelock Elementary (Arthur Edwards), Havelock Middle School (the only middle school in town back then) and Havelock High School. Things have changed a lot in the last 40+ years; new homes, more businesses, and more people. I live in New Bern with my husband, Bryan. We have a total of three daughters; Stephanie, Emily Megan, and Emily Rebecca. I also have two wonderful sons-in-laws, Nathan and Jeffery. Lastly, I'm blessed to have 3 grandchildren and one more on the way. When I do get some free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, the kids and grand-kids, reading, and time on the water.
