Hello Grizzlies!

My name is Mrs. Kirk and I am so thrilled to be apart of the Grover C. Fields family. Here at GCF, I am the Exceptional Children's Resource Teacher for grades 6-8. Teaching students the essentials that they need in order to succeed in school as well as in life is my passion. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with my Bachelors in Special Education for the General Curriculum, with an minor in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Previously, I have taught as a Resource teacher in an Elementary School.

When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband Michael, and daughter, Harper. I was born and raised in a small farming/desert town called Brawley in California. My husband and I met in California, and eventually we moved to North Carolina. Some things I love to do on my off time include: going to the beach, bike rides, decorating, playing the piano, and hanging out with my family.

My overall goal is to help students succeed within the regular education classroom and in everyday life, especially during these hard times. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions.
