Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies at H.J. MacDonald Middle School.  My name is Monkea Bryant but I prefer to be called Sheris.  I am so excited to be working with you this year!  This will be my third year teaching and I am so excited to be able to be here at H.J another year.

I was born and raised here in New Bern, North Carolina and this place is home and really means alot to me.  I  attended North Carolina Centeral Uniiversity for 2 years then transferred and graduated from East Carolina University in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science Degeree in Criminal Justice.  I explored a few different avenues but my heart has always been set on teaching and I am so thankful to now be doing what my heart desires .  I am a lateral entry teacher and will be continuing the NC Teach program to become certified.

I am a mother of 3 amazing kids, William, Kamryn, and Chrisiten and I spend alot of my free time exploring new adventures with them.  I love to shop, spend time with my family, and bake.
