Mrs. Sherry Radford
Greetings Creekside!
My name is Mrs. Radford. This is my 29th year of teaching, and my fourth year at Creekside. I am very excited to be teaching Fifth Grade again this year! I already know some of the students.
For those who do not know me, I am originally from Texas, but grew up mostly in West Virginia. I graduated from Marshall University in 1991. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education, with a minor in Middle School Science. After graduation, I move to Greensboro, NC.
Upon moving to North Carolina, I got my teaching start in Guilford County in 1993. After 11 years teaching grades 4-8, I relocated to Indiana where I taught grades 4-8 in the Indianapolis Public Schools District.
My last 3 years in Indiana, I was also part of a fantastic program called Project:RESTORE. Under this leadership, we were able to take a school that had been rated an 'F' for 6 years and turn it around to an 'A'. It was a very exciting time in my career. I was in Indiana 14 years before moving back to North Carolina in 2018.
My first 2 years at Creekside were spent in 3rd grade, which was great, but I am also really enjoying my time in 5th grade. I look forward to a FULL year with my whole class this year! Remember, at Creekside, we go the extra mile for our Crocodiles!
