Mrs. Jessica Cockroft
Jessica Cockroft received her Bachelor's in Music Education from Wingate University. She performed in multiple choirs, operas, and solo recitals during her time in college. She toured with the Wingate University Singers, Advanced Women's Ensemble, and Chamber Choir in North and South Carolina, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
Mrs. Cockroft is an active member of the National Association for Music Education. She is a board member of the Southern Gentleman's Barbershop Chorus in New Bern.
She strives to create an atmosphere in the choral department where the students have a sense of belonging in their chorus family and expects that the singers will do the same. Students should feel comfortable enough to challenge themselves; take risks independently and as a group so that the choir can grow and learn together.

Canvas
All virtual work will happen on Canvas. There you will find assignments, zoom links for class time and office hours, learning resources, etc. Students should check canvas EVERY WEEKDAY for instructions on what to do that day.
To access canvas, log in to Rapid identity.
Parents are now able to sign up to be an observer on a canvas course! I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity so that you can see what your student is working on and help them be successful this semester.
Here is a link that tells you how students pair you with their canvas course.
