The June Drivers Ed Class is Full.  We still have openings in the July and August classes.  If you want to register pick up a form from the front office or  the band room lobby, fill it out and return it.

Our High School Band has a Drive for your school fundraiser tomorrow Saturday May 11th from 9-5pm at the Havelock HS Front parking Lot..  If you are 18 and have a valid drivers license you can help the band raise $30 by test driving two Ford vehicles. Every driver matters come out and support the Rams!

The final day for Colorguard auditions will be Monday May 13 from 4:30-7pm at the Havelock High School Band Room.

The application period for the American Red Cross Scholarship begins today. In order to qualify,students must be a senior, students must have been admitted to a higher education facility with plans to attend in the fall, and have donated blood OR volunteered at both blood drives this school year. Please see Mrs. Yeager in room 129 to get your application. All applications are due back to Mrs. Yeager by Tuesday, May 14th at 10:30am.

Attention all future, present, and past NJROTC cadets!  Applications for leadership positions for the 2019-2020 school year are now available in the 'Big House.'  I need these filled out and returned no later than 17 May 2019. Lead, Follow, or Get out of the way. Awards ceremony change of command is scheduled for the 23rd of May.  Military Ball is scheduled for the 25th of May. Any seniors that still have uniform items and are not going to the ball need to have them dry cleaned and returned ASAP, so that I do not have to hold your diploma for funds owed.

Today, April 30th is the deadline to apply to scholarships through Craven Community College. If you have been accepted to Craven please take an opportunity to be matched with one or more of our 80 scholarships.Students will use the Webadvisor information they received when accepted.

Marching Band Colorguard auditions start today in the band room with an interest meeting.  Auditions are from 4:30-7pm. Wear work out clothes. No equipment needed. No experience needed.

- Marching Percussion Camps continue today and tomorrow from 4:30-6:30pm in the band room.  We are still looking for more Front Ensemble members. We need Marimba, Vibraphone and Mallet players.

- Registration has opened for the Summer Drivers Education classes.  There will be 1 in June, July and August. The dates are printed on the registration form.  Get a form from the Front office or in the band lobby, complete it and return it. Do not procrastinate.  Make sure you are 14 1/2 years old by the 1st day of the class. We only take 45 students per class. You do not pay the $45.00 cost until the 1st day of class.

Attention students, remember qualified students, you can take community college courses during the summer. There are two summer sessions, the first one starts on May 20th and the second on June 10th. For grade 10 (qualified) students who will be juniors next year, stop by the school counseling office and see your school counselor for a summer semester grade 11 verification form

Study body elections will be held on Thursday, April 18th. All freshman, sophomores, and juniors should register to vote at the student council table today during lunch. Students who do not register will not be allowed to vote in elections this year.

Class office campaign packets are due to Mrs. Yeager by Thursday, April 18th at 2:30pm.

Campaign speeches for student body president will be videoed today in Mrs. Harrison’s room. If you are running for student body president, please report to Mrs. Harrison’s room at the beginning of your lunch to film your speech.

Students: There is now an app on your iPad to sign up for the student/staff basketball game this Thursday. Please do this today if you would like to play. The team will be coached by Nyasia Blango

Students, please remember that April is the month of the military child. Thursday is the official "PurpleUp" day. On Thursday, remember to wear purple.

The cheerleading interest meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 17 right after school in Coach Vereen‘s room, room 610.  The meeting will not last long and we will be talking about what to expect at tryouts

On Monday April 29 there will be an informational meeting/rehearsal for our  tryouts for our Havelock High School colorguard. This ensemble is highly visible in our community and has a tradition of many years of excellence.  There is no experience necessary to try out. Dance experience is always welcomed. Please wear work out clothes. We will meet at the Havelock High School Band room from 4:30-7pm

Attention Senior Guys, a reminder that the Boys State program application is due tomorrow, Friday, April 12 for those who are interested.

Tomorrow is the spring Blood Drive. If you have signed up to give blood, you will receive your appointment card today in your third period class. If you do not receive your appointment card, please see Mrs. Yeager before the end of the day. Students should bring their iPads with them to their appointment. Thank you for helping us save lives!

The student council will meet today at 2:30 in the media center for our April meeting. The 5:30 meeting has been cancelled to accommodate sporting events. All officers must be present. Please be on time!
