I graduated from East Carolina University in 1993 with a BS degree in Secondary Mathematics.  I began my teaching degree at H. J. MacDonald Middle School (8th grade) where I received my Middle School Mathematics and Middle School Science certification.   I earned National Board Certification for Early Adolescence Mathematics in 2003.  I have taught at Fred A. Anderson Elementary School (5th grade) and Pamlico County High School - both in Pamlico County.  I began teaching at New Bern High the Spring semester at the beginning of 2008.
