Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Marisa Forrest

I am beginning my 20th year at Grover C. Fields and I am excited to begin this new school year.  Sixth grade is a big transition year for students coming to middle school for the first time.  It is also a transition for me because I am moving to sixth grade this year from eighth grade.  I am looking forward to the new challegene and I think that we will have a wonderful year.  I will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies.

I have lots of hobbies and interests.  I love to read (mainly murder mysteries) and I also enjoy doing a variety of crafts.  I knit, crochet, sew, paint, cross stitch and make teddy bears.  I have made over 150 teddy bears for the Free Wiill Baptist Children's Home.  I also have gotten "addicted" to playing Hidden City on the computer.  I also have become a grandmother "Mimi" and there is nothing better than spending time with my grandsons D.J. who is 2 and Elric who was born on August 12 of 2019.

I am looking forward to a really good year.    If you are absent you need to check the website and the file in the classroom in order to find out what you have missed.  Please be sure to turn your assignments in on time.  You will need a 3 marbled composition books,  and blue or black ink pens or pencils.  If you would like to donate tissue to the classroom, I would really appreciate it.

I am looking forward to working with you this school year.  Working together, I know that we will make this the best year yet.
